Queensland government building boostWith the April 30 deadline looming, you don’t want to miss out on the Queensland Government’s $10 000 building boost.  Industry insiders are certain that this grant won’t be extended after April and are warning people not to wait until the last minute hoping for an extension.  Contracts need to be drawn up and deposits paid and so waiting much longer could very easily see potential builders miss out altogether.

On top of the building boost, Graham Cuthbert, Master Builders executive director is predicting that the cost of building a new home will continue to rise later in the year – with the yet unknown impact of the carbon tax on building and the resources boom putting pressure on materials and labour.
